Greetings All and Welcome to March Madness!
Actually, it’s the March DPC meeting on March 4th at 7:00 p.m!
This month the meeting will be for MEMBERS ONLY so we can focus on some important club business.
First and foremost, we’ll be taking a portrait photograph of each of you so that we can facilitate better communication and recognition of our membership. This doesn’t have to be like your old school photos with blue feathers or bow-ties. You can be creative and bring hats or hawaiian shirts, whatever you want to be seen wearing forever on the web! Remember, we are creatives.
This meeting will be unique in its format because we have a lot of portraits to capture. To keep things moving, Drew will present the Photographer of the Month (POTM) as we stand in line to be photographed. The POTM featured artist will be Richard Avedon, who was an American photographer who gained popularity and success in fashion photography as well as fine art. (Hi Drew, You OK with that?)
Also, we will be given a member survey to fill out, so we can learn more about other photographers in the club who share our particular interests. Lastly, at the meeting you will each be provided with a unique membership ID number which will allow the club to migrate to the official Doylestown Photography Club website. The plan is for this website to be where we update personal bios and share interests and photographs.
So please, come to the meeting at 7:00 p.m. March 4th and be prepared to learn about your fellow members and have your photograph taken. Again, this meeting is for members only, and we will again welcome guests in April exhibition meeting at the Advanced Medical Healing Center.
