When and where does the Club meet? The club meets at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month, during the months September through June. We do not meet in the summer July and August. Our meetings are held at Covenant Church in Doylestown, PA. Please see the bottom of this page for details on our meeting location.
Are there membership dues? Yes, membership dues are as follows:
- $50 per year for members who join from September through January (our first meeting is in September of each year)
- $30 per year for members who join from February through June (our last meeting is in June of each year)
Guests are welcome to attend meetings for a $10 entry fee. That fee can be applied to annual dues, but only if you decide to join the same night. For example, if you attend the November meeting as a guest, and then decide to join in January, you would still owe the full $50 annual dues. If you decided to join the same night that you attended as a guest in November, you’d only owe $40 more.
I’m just starting out with photography. Can I still join? Yes! Our current membership is comprised of photographers of all skill levels, from amateur to professional. We strive for an open, learning environment where those with more experience can share their knowledge and all can share their passion and enthusiasm for the art of photography.
I shoot film, are there members that also use film who can help me or will I feel out of place? A number of our members shoot film, many shoot digital, and a few shoot both on a regular basis. In addition, our membership runs the gamut of formats: P&S, 35mm/DSLR, roll film, and medium/large format.
What can I expect from my membership? The meetings are full of enlightened information. We narrow our discussions to keep each month focused on a particular theme. Together, we provide support for almost any direction in photography and the encouragement and motivation to set a plan, achieve your goal and follow your path.
Do you do things beyond the meetings? Yes, we conduct field trips, attend shows, participate in shows, and further members’ interests in photography.
